Our one of a kind ceramide is derived from Koji. But our story begins hundreds of years ago. Koji is a fermented food culture and has been used in the ancient art of Japanese soy sauce creation since the 7th Century. Modern science has proven an abundance of health benefits from ingesting koji, including its ability to improve immunity and gut flora. Koji is also the source of kojic acid, a topical skincare ingredient praised for its antioxidant and brightening properties. We continued the koji quest.
