How Our Ceramides Support the Planet

Every year, April 22nd is Earth Day. Are you doing something for the planet? Through Seiso, your daily skincare ritual can be kind to your skin, but also to the environment.

Recyclable Resources

Our ceramides are extracted from soy sauce lees, a byproduct of traditional Japanese soy sauce production. Instead of wasting these nutrient-rich ingredients, we use advanced Japanese technology to transform them into high-quality, skin-identical ceramides. In addition, after the extraction process, the remaining material is also turned into fertilizer for livestock. This fertilizer helps produce compost, which helps grow the soybeans needed to make soy sauce again. Thanks to this circular system, we are minimizing waste, supporting agriculture, and reducing environmental impact.

Low-Impact Production Methods

We also use traditional Japanese fermentation technology to extract ceramides. This technology utilizes the natural power of living organisms and does not require the use of synthetic chemicals. Furthermore, this manufacturing method can significantly reduce COemissions compared to conventional methods.

Therefore, all our products are made in Japan, are not tested on animals, and contain ingredient that are gentle to both skin and the earth. This is why our skin-identical natural ceramides are more than just skincare ingredients. By choosing these product, you will not only help bring healthy beauty, but also support environmentally sustainable practices.
